Would love to know what made you choose your car?

Prelude 2.2si vtec 1991 jap

I chose this because of a combination of its good looks, great drive, leaves you back in your seat fun and power. Price comes into it, age and great running costs for the engine size. Reliability is another key one.

Bad points are that although I have had rather drunk adults sitting in the back it really is not designed to carry them is it? Face it :innocent: You have to be drunk to even contemplate sitting in the back as an adult. It's even more fun watching drunk adults get into the back and even funnier watching them try to get out. :p

Mitsubishi GTO 3 litre twin turbo 1991 jap

This was found be a mate sitting in a driveway. We bought it, wasn't keen to sell the gt4 until I drove one of these. Some say they are boring to drive, my god they have never driven one, serious fun, hitting ridiculous speeds easily, brakes are great, handling amazing what can you say that is bad about it.

OK it has the usual noisey tappets and needs gearbox repair in the future but for the price of £500 it will get money spent on it, oh and respray as classic laquer peel. Drinks petrol so a fun car. Loads of room in the back and with the hatch can fit loads in there.

Opel Manta V8

Combination of rear end sliding with the noise of a V8 muscle car combined what more can you ask. Not an everyday drive but awesome fun. Rare cars now and I love the shape.

I bought the Supra because I'd always wanted one since I was a kid. I was able to and going through a pretty rough patch so it was a present to myself. I love the looks, the sound and the power. I like that it's rear wheel drive with no electronic rubbish controlling it.

I chose the Mondeo because I was having a weak moment and thought a Dagenham Dustbin would be a good choice as a cheap reliable runaround. How wrong can you be..

Peugeot 207:
I was under the influence of alcohol... and the sales person had nice eyes

VW Beetle:
I was young; we all do silly things :D. But on the plus side its a good car to start working/learning on and lots can be done with them, so i'll stick with it for now until i get boost cravings :eyes:

Since the age of 14 i'd always wanted a Volvo 440 Turbo, i just love the hard lines and boxiness of the exterior, plus it was fast and fairly cheap to insure compared to other turbo cars. I owned a non turbo model first but soon saved enough for a turbo. However, this didn't last long after the wastegate got stuck open whilst enjoyin a little race with a tvr and the turbo blew its seals, which in turn produced a nice little under bonnet fire! So that was the end of the 440.
Whilst lookin for a cheap replacement i happened to find an 850 saloon for sale, ok it was exactly a cheap replacement but as soon as i took it for a test drive i just couldn't say no, thankfully neither did the bank manager after askin for a loan :)

I have always been a fan of Volvo's which is my parent's fault. Also after having an RTC in one and getting out without even a cut also enforced my affection for the marque. I have seen the 850 as a personal favorite of the Volvo range it's not new enough to be jelly mould in design in fact I love the square purposeful looks, no one could argue that the looks aren't unique, and the engine sounds fanatastic. Of course the people at my place of work and in my social circle mocked....... well at least they did until they realised how quickly they wear tyres! ;) Don't mis understand me though as they are far from the quickest thing to grace the uk road's but they can defend themselves very well against most modern rep rubbish.
