Well decided to sell this MX-5 to concentrate on the mantas and spitfires and will turbo another mx-5 in the future. We were planning to put our spare 1.8 turbo engine in but are sure we'll come across another when we have the time.
Its a 1989 silver mx-5, imported in 2001. 4 previous owners, motd 10/09 and tax 04/09. It has 146 000 KM on the clock and is still in kmh. Good interior, inside and out could do with a clean as used by us to get through all that mud. Today the sun is out and about and needs to be made the most of :)
Engine and gearbox all seem to be running well, no problems. Lightweight alloys and shortshifter. No electric windows and no power steering, not a real problem as its light enough.
Bodywork is average for its year and isn't rusty, more photos on my website http://www.japazclassicsports.co.uk (http://www.japazclassicsports.co.uk/)
Couple of areas on the bonnet and around the petrol cap where paint had peeled, two areas of laquer peel. One small crease on rear driver's quarter and minor dent by passenger door. Otherwise pretty respectable car for the money.
Soft top is in good condition though split in rear window, has been taped for now.
Price is based on px value. Offers around £1000 (try us you never know).
