Some suggestions for meets

Here are some possible suggestions for meets, I didn't want to clutter the meet section so thought would thrash it out here. Just post up possible dates, ideas, costs, links etc.

Some ideas and feel free to rip them apart, make suggestions and say no its naff, not going to be offended.

April
18th or 19th Holmbush Farm for Paintballing for adults and farm for kids. In Horsham, £12.50 per person, half day. Food at good price on the day.Farm is £5.75 for adults and £5.00 for kids. On same site and could meet up for lunch, it's an option for those with kids. Car parking good.

June
7 June: ‘Supercar Sunday – the Ultimate Performance Machines’
Attracting: Mouth-watering (and mostly mid-engined!) ultimate performance cars and exotic superbikes, plus aerobatic aircraft.

28 June ‘Performance Car Legends – post-1970 Driver’s Cars’
Attracting: Sports and GT cars from the 1970s to the present day, from Jensen Interceptor to Ariel Atom, as well as Lotus, Caterham, TVR, Porsche and many more, plus retractable aircraft.
If nice to go to the black rabbit after in Arundel, a lovely pub with boating lake, crystal clear waters and about £5 to hire out a rowing boat. Nice on a hot day. Failing that to go to another for pub lunch.

July
4th or 5th July World Series by Renault. Free at Silverstone. Free event and really enjoyed it last year.

i ran a beach meet on some forums which turned out very good :)
arcades , beach, crazygolf, rides dodgems

I see they've finally found a date for JAE! September 11th to 13th at Wicksteed Park in Northamptonshire.

Further up the country this time, but doesn't actually look much further for us if people are interested.

I'd also like to arrange a Charity Treasure Hunt this year, Ang had some great ideas last year but we didn't get around to sorting it. Would be great if we could ;)

I haven't seen much about JAE this year, last time I looked they were still arguing over where to have it :rolleyes:

I wouldn't mind going again to see what it's like. Last year was my first year and I was a bit disappointed as there wasn't much to do really. I almost wished I'd bought a GTO as their tent was pumping!

Looking at JAE it seems an odd choice for venue but you can never tell. Who you go with is oh so important to having a good time :innocent:. That GTO lot did look like they were having fun and I took the old GTO up so I should have gate crashed ;) I know I enjoyed myself last time and I think I will stop there.

Could be worth a look into? Speed humps = no lude but have others. The public may well stay away on the whole. If you were going there would you choose a date when a car meet is on? It's a possibility, not the best of sites but could be interesting.

I like the idea of a beach run/meet.

We were thinking of getting together this month to try and arrange a few dates and spread the meets over the area.

Anyone up for a pub lunch meet towards the end of March then? Venue and dates?

Well after seeing that tent of yours at JAE maybe not............;)

Lambo-Lude good photos and what I liked about that is the good mixture of people and seeing kids come out about. Even better that the kids acted like adults and the adults like kids :p
