Hey all,
May be purchasing a car in the next week or two, but it has no tax or mot etc so would need to trailor/flatbed it back to bexhill from near hickstead... Any ideas of companys that could do this sort of thing? Never had to do it before lol.
Cheers
Stav

Haha... guy told me it was a non runner and wanted a grand for it... turned up, put a battery on and it fired up, drove and run no problem, lmfao. Wish I could of taken a picture of his face.
We buy any car.com are offering me £2k for it as it is lol. I was more interested in the engine for the beetle, but think im going to keep the car now, ran fine, just needs a service and a rad. :D. Will be a summer project I think
Summer projects are the best, if you make money on it, even better!

Christ, you change your mind more than I do.. First you want rid of the beetle, then you're buying a wankel for it! LOL.
You're a brave man, that's all I can say! I look forward to seeing you cram your frame in to a Rex ;)

Yea I wasnt having much luck with selling it, although things have changed in the past couple of days with the bug; dont want to jynx it but a random influx of interest... i think its the sun.
Ahh the rex wasnt as much of a squeeze as I thought tbh... all 17 and half stone of me slithered in and out with ease.
If im honest, looking on the forums and reading around, the engines appear to be pretty solid as long as they are well maintained ('Well' being the key word there lol). The biggest fault on them are the water seals, which if fail, fcuk your engine, which then requires a rebuild.
Though and behold though, after doing a test on the rx7 on a revisit, the water seals have gone... which came as a suprise to the owner... i smell bollox tbh.
Ho Hum, hopefully going to somerset to see another car at the weekend... I have serious cravings for boost but insurance companies seem to hate me.

lmao, literally lift of the cap to the rad, fire the car and look for bubbles. If theres bubbles or the it pishes water out, put the cap back out and walk away....quickly lol.
There was more bubbles than the bubble works @ chessington

Definately; its not 100% conclusive, but its pretty darn close.
Shame that we've been so busy and sooo late to read this. We are only 5 mins away from Hickstead and still have the recovery truck and trade plates. I really can't say much about why we kept the recovery truck but more will be told later.......................quite funny .......... but believe me with what is going on at the mo I daren't post it on a public site! It's proved very very useful!
Well if you get stuck and we have some notice (bear in mind one of us has to stay to be with the livestock) that we may be able to help. Macca has my number.
