View Full Version : How's this for a bit of bad timing
Why is it the clutch on the gto starts to go.............needs double declutch at the mo and the nissan exa clutch is on the way out too. Just trying to survive a bit longer until the alpacas come ie this Friday and we can get it fixed!
Why does it happen in pairs?

Bad luck.. I bet that's not the easiest thing to fit on one of those either?
Hhhmmm I think it will be, things will be easier after this weekend. Well I hope so.
The exa is getting a lot of attention these days from the locals, the gto and manta are equally well known which is nice. There is a lot of  with the manta.
How your cars getting on these days Macca?

I still haven't seen the Exa since it's had the turbo on it.
I've just got back in touch recently with a friend who is very fond of older cars. He's just bought an Opel Kadette Coupe and has some cool plans for it. I mentioned your V8 manta and he got very excited!
Cars are ok, the Supra is fine as always. Just had the front bumper and bonnet resprayed after it was reversed in to in October, looks nice and shiny at the front now! Unfortunately where the snow was sitting on it for a few days recently it has lifted little spots of lacquer all over the boot, spoiler and roof so is gonna need a lot of bodywork this summer. Windscreen needs to come out to fix some rust and the dent in the rear still needs doing :(
The Mondeo is still fighting me. It's got it's new injectors now and is running better but failed the MOT on front discs and pads. I went to do them with Mark at the weekend and one of the wheel studs on the nearside wheel is just spinning in the hub so couldn't get the bloody wheel off! Bloody car!!
Your mondeo luck makes me laugh, they can be trying cars. You are as lucky as we are. The exa is off the road (well it was lucky it didn't go down the scrappy as its been a little naughty - ie needing a lot more work. I had to push the poxy car the other day down a straight road after dropping zoe off. I then had to jump in and bump start it before the bugger stopped! Got it going but it has a few other issues..........
The gto, apparantly may just be the clutch lever, not sure if I heard that right but its taking 18 days to order the part, hopefully not too expensive. Well it will run ok once sorted. The manta is still running well as normal. I had to tow the exa to bump start it the other day at the riding stables, that was fun. I didn't want it brought down as it would have terrified the horses but someone didn't get the message
Opel Kadettes are cool cars and seen some really nice ones about but very rare also....... well could be good to see a v8 version.
I did offer to sell the manta and put the money towards the barn build but I'm allowed to keep her!
I love that supra of yours! It was good to see it last time we all met up.
Sunshine out though and sure lots of work will be done!
