Ok now I know the answer to this and I know Macca and Tasha may remember me telling them this but lets see who knows this;

How do you work the full beam on a Camaro Berlinetta 1979 (without looking it up, that is ;))?

Go on throw us your answers!

You are worse than me for memory or maybe I didn't tell you :crazy:

Go on then have a guess how you do it, it was so difficult to find out.

The camaro berlinetta full beam is a floor mounted push button. Now why on earth would anyone look there for it. It's not obvious at all. Took ages to find this one out, tried loads of searches and only came out with 2 poss.

Finally all electrics working for its mot, now do we tell the mot inspector or do we let them find out themselves ;)?

Let them find out, more fun that way!

I do remember you telling me now, couldn't for the life of me remember though! Really strange place to put it. Is it easy to use when driving at night? Or does it feel quite strange?

Trust the Americans to use a switch in that position, maybe they were thinking of the average Joe Blogg's American and hoped that they could operate the switch with their thunder thighs meaning they could keep both hands on the wheel! :p :D

I thought three pedals would confuse them though, that's why they are all auto?? :innocent:

Well fugly is booked in for its mot tomorrow 9am! We think the headlights have been sorted to be directed at the right angle. James is driving it as I am too chicken, then its up for sale.

Fugly is a rare car. OK lots made in the US but not many been up for sale over here, the Goodwrench engine is a 5.7L v8 and is immaculate inside with apparantly 16 000 miles on it. Had lots of welding and restoration and bought as a non runner. Lovely sound and I love the looks actually.

and before, though you can not see the rust, not too bad but did need lots of time and effort. Well it was nice to see one of the models in transformers :)

It's got some interesting lines on the front, very different to anything european!

I don't doubt that it sounds stunning!

Good luck with the mot ;)

I put a few basic details of the restoration, haven't gone indepth about fixing headlining and sorting out american electrics but that's all be done too.

Failed on minor welding, emissions and brake light, went back a few hours later and passed without advisories so now will be up for sale :cool:

Yes been a long term project and so owes us quite a bit of money labour wise. Worth every penny though.
