Not looking great but it gets worse:

http://i252.photobucket.com/albums/hh30/AW_06/Image0007.jpg

No engine, few bits of rust, not perfect again.

Gets EVEN worse! Archs have been mucked about, the archs have been blended into the 1/4 panels and the 1/4 panels have dodgy paint. Pass side has filler all over.

It will be my daily driver during the winter months next year, plus its another car i can use and not care about it too much.

Will stick up a project thread soon, once ive started work on it, Going to take the interior out soon to check it all as theres a couple of bits that worry me.

:)

Right bad news already. I knew it had some filler work around the doors, though it was due to somone breaking in. Turns out its had a passenger 1/4, But its been cut off another car (A darker blue corsa) Got a few pics to show the damage, its not un-saveable and its not the end of the world if i decide not to repair. I can easly get my £100 back.

This is where it started, I noticed filler, knocked it off (about half inch!) and found the above, you can see the second bit of rust is where the weld was, after that its blue. Not green like the front section.

Where the rust has cracked it etc.

You can see the interior bit is blue, and where it joined the floor:

Seam sealer shit.
http://i252.photobucket.com/albums/hh30/AW_06/Image0031.jpg

Where the floor/sill join is (cant see how far it goes inside as i cant remove the seat)

Im going to get a few opionions and decide what to do, its not a full cut and shut though so its not REALLY unsafe, But its not factory standard eather. Also going to get the interior our ASAP.

Sorry to hear some fecker decided to replaster the whole car mate... I found a couple of bits about my avensis when I took it to the bodyshop when the lass rear ended me...b*stards.

If you decide to get rid im sure you could sell off as parts/spares and get most of your money back by stripping her down. Half of Sidley would love your rear spoiler lol

Bad luck dude :( I'd feel very unsafe driving about it that, personally. It's just not something nice to do to a car, especially as it's obviously not been done professionally. Whatever happened to it, it probably should have been written off.

I wonder how straight the car is, suspension wise. Big work like that is hard to pull off without twisting stuff.

It was a write off :( Decided to scrap it once ive taken evrything off it.

The floor etc is fine, as is the rear beam aswell as the inner wheel arch.

I know it was a write off due to the logbook saying Green. The car is caribic blue, and should say blue on the logbook.

Already started stripping it and putting parts up for sale.
If anyone knows anyone who wants some corsa parts let me know :)

Another nail in the coffin for this car.
Checked the MOT history last night, in 2007 it failed on a whole host of things, one of which being that it had been in a accident and there was filler/sealer everwhere.
Plus lots of other things as well as the B pillars having cracks.

Quality car.

Sounds like the car could have been your coffin! Not nice, should never be on the road let alone sold on.

I'd be handing the guy who sold it to you his teeth in a dish, no excuse for that at all.

Deffo. Glad i checked out the filler etc.

He says he didnt know but meh. I gave him a piece of my mind but ran out of credit, too far to go knocking on his door.

Ive already made £40 from the bits, £60 will be Easy!

Glad you've got your money back mate :)

Fcuking hate people that do that, was the same with the person I got my bug off of, just undersealed over rust and patched over stuff with god knows what, think he was a bit suprised to get a phone call 5 years later :)

I've also been caught with my second car, a 1986 XR2. I got pulled by VOSA on the way to Brighton one afternoon and the emissions were sky high (so high they though the machine was bust and tried another) so they ordered I had an MOT.

It failed the MOT for rust up inside the front nearside suspension turret. Inside the engine bay was a lot of mastic where the previous owner (a mechanic) told me he'd fixed the rust but hadn't sprayed it so had put the mastic to protect the paintwork.

When my mechanic peeled the mastic off, a flimsy panel of tin peeled off with it and exposed a hole next to the top-mount big enough to put your arm through.

Turns out I was lucky not to have hung it in to a corner and the whole strut come through the bonnet.

I was still a nice boy back then though and didn't trouble the guy at all. These days would be a different story!

^Thats bad. SO many dodgy cars out there though!

Edit, Added another nail in the coffin. Seat belt pre-tensioners had both gone off, warning tabs had been cut off to pass the mot.

If i had crashed this car i wouldnt be able to tell you about it!

Scares me what some people find acceptable to do and then pass on to others. One thing if you don't mind doing stupid stuff and killing yourself, but others is another matter.

Some people just don't seem to have a concience!

AW09

Havnt scrapped it yet, thats as it was earlier, need to undo my lol and then doors, boot, rear axle, pass seat and carpet, think that is it then!

Edit: Forgot to say ive made over £100 from it :)

Finally gone!

Made about £100 profit off it now :) Was a right pain to get it onto the guys low loader transit thing. Loved seeing the winch squishing the roof and slam panel, and then his ratchet straps bend the doors.

I Jaffacaked the Jaffa.
