Any thoughts on what could be causing my fuel economy to be draining to the level it is??

I used to get 40 - 45mpg on average with a mix of city and highway driving, but now I'm just getting 25mpg and I haven't changed my style of driving or the type either, still doing the same sort of mix of city and highway.

I was getting 38-42mpg after I installed the alloys so there was some drop from the bump in rolling mass, but in the last 10 days it's dropped drastically down to just under 25mpg and it keeps dropping and dropping

In the morning I'm going to check and see if I can spot a leak in the fuel line and I'm hoping to God, Ra, or whoever that it isn't cos if one bloody 8 inch brake line is £120 I do not want to know how much a fuel line will be!!!!

Any other ideas what it could be other than leaking fuel?? The engine sounds like it's running alright and nothing seems to be blowing at all. Thoughts please people, I need help!!!

Is this what the trip computer is telling you or what your finding with your petrol gauge? Common fault on some cars for the trip to go up the swanny and tell you whatever it feels like. I know on the vectras its quite a common thing.

Was both the MPG counter, trip counter and odometer.

I'm not too sure, but I think the hole in the gas tank would probably have something to do with it though LOL

A massive thanks to Mark for the advise on patching the fuel tank :)

Not that I think I'll have the Kangoo long enough the rate it's pissing me off at, but will a tank with tank sealant on it pass MOT??
