Hi all, here is my project thread - pasted from the Volvo forum, hope you like the pics.

February 2008

Hi all,
I have had my t5 for 3 weeks now (Owned by two previous VOC members - im the third VOC member to own it) and thought id post up some pictures after cleaning it up. It is a t5 S with Mas Italy 17" titan replicas, air con, electric windows / mirrors / sunroof & heated seats - Not a scratch on it! It has full service history and all old MOT's and receipts. very pleased with my purchase.
heres some pictures

so far the only modifications are a re-map (by one of the previous owners) I replaced 2 of the worn out assimetrico's (it has p zero assimetrico's all round) and a genuine volvo strut brace fitted last week.
i will use this thread to post my modifications and maintenance.

hi all,
just a little update on the maintenace, after driving the car for a while it came to light that there were a few niggles with my car, so took it to a specialist mechanic to have a look, it needed :

front suspension supports
turbo return oil seal
new recirculating valve
new cat
tightening of the oil cooler pipes
downpipe tightening

now even more of a smoother ride, and runs like a dream!

hi again,
At the weekend i went down to a scrapyard in pease pottage, Went down there for a friend to get some parts for him and his dad as they are on holiday in italy.... alright for some lol. I also stumbled across an S40 2.oltr T, so i decided to take its clear side repeaters. I then proceeded to exit but before i left i spotted an 850 with the same interior as mine, couldn't believe my luck, i took the drivers side carpet, a replacement cloth arm rest (for the vinyl one i have on mine) and a few little plastic clips and what-not.
when i got home i decided to take out the whole interior (apart from the dash) and vax the carpets and seats, whilst cleaning all the vinyl and platsic.
i couldn't believe how well it came out!
my computer is playing up the moment as soon as its sorted ill post the end result of all the hard work.
cheers

After cleaning the car inside and out it decided to snow heavily the next day, so i took the opportunity to take it out and get some pictures in the snow. heres the best photo out of them all.

hi all,
its been a while, lol. just a quick update, after have a few problems with the boost, i took the car to a specialist to have some investigative work to get to the bottom of the lack of boost. After being at the specialist for a month or two they found what was the cause of the problem.
The problems were:

burst boost hose
faulty MAF sensor
faulty oxygen sensor
and a few little things that needed replacing

so now it is running the best that i have had it! which is fantastic news!
I have also sourced some T5-R suspension, but i am replacing the rear dampers for koni yellow dampers, I have also got new front and rear anti-roll bars from ipd with a rear strut brace which goes across where the additional rear seats are bolted it, which is also from ipd.
so when i get it all fitted then i will take some pics of the mods, on and off the car.
Cheers

hi all,
I know its been a while, but finally got round to do some more work on the car. And after waiting 3 weeks for the braided brakes hoses, i finally completed the 302mm brakes conversion with the braided brake hoses. We had trouble with getting the bleed valves un-done but with a bit gentle persuation they loosened off.

Here are some pictures from the day:
http://i254.photobucket.com/albums/hh94/barrysc/DSC00771.jpg
http://i254.photobucket.com/albums/hh94/barrysc/DSC00770.jpg
and the finished project:
http://i254.photobucket.com/albums/hh94/barrysc/DSC00773.jpg
As you can see we also painted the carriers and calipers in copper. Which i think it brings them up alot.
it has made such a difference to the handling of the car, for the price of the conversion its a well worth upgrade.

Here is some pictures of them off the car, they aren't being fitted until around the 25th of this month, so i will have to post some more pictures after that.

hi all,
Finally found some time so fit the V70 rear lights, Easier than i thought and yet such a big difference they make. I also took the time to T-Cut and polish her, It took about 8 hours but it has made such a big difference to the look of the car.
Here are some pictures of the car after my 8 hour cleaning stint.

Hi all,
Long time no post. I have done a few "minor" changes to the car since my last post :) Firstly i changed the door handles to V70 ones and colour coded side strips to match.
Next i bought a few bits for my car:
http://i254.photobucket.com/albums/hh94/barrysc/DSC02047.jpg
1x MANUAL donor car
http://i254.photobucket.com/albums/hh94/barrysc/DSC02051.jpg
New 850R clutch
http://i254.photobucket.com/albums/hh94/barrysc/DSC02067.jpg
Poly tie bar bushes
Also solid gear linkage bushes from a Toyota MR2.
Here are a couple of photos of the fitting process:
http://i254.photobucket.com/albums/hh94/barrysc/DSC02054.jpg
http://i254.photobucket.com/albums/hh94/barrysc/DSC02055.jpg
http://i254.photobucket.com/albums/hh94/barrysc/DSC02063.jpg
http://i254.photobucket.com/albums/hh94/barrysc/DSC02070.jpg
http://i254.photobucket.com/albums/hh94/barrysc/DSC02072.jpg
http://i254.photobucket.com/albums/hh94/barrysc/DSC02073.jpg
The car drives perfectly, very pleased with the outcome especially as i am only 23 years old and have only worked on cars for the last couple of years (the first year very casually).

Hi all,

it's been a while since I have put an update on the forum. I have today fitted a walbro 255 fuel pump. Really thought it would be harder than it was! But thanks to RT mechanics I went very smoothly.

Here is some pictures:

http://i254.photobucket.com/albums/hh94/barrysc/311be799.jpg

http://i254.photobucket.com/albums/hh94/barrysc/2f929f34.jpg

I have also painted a few bits in the engine bay, I painted the spark plug cover , throttle cable cover and the battery terminal cover in the same colour as my wheels.

http://i254.photobucket.com/albums/hh94/barrysc/ce5097f9.jpg

http://i254.photobucket.com/albums/hh94/barrysc/67ec62b9.jpg

I will soon be putting the car on a rolling road to see what it is running afr and power wise. I aslo will get the injectors cleaned and flowed soon.

Cheers

Hi all,

Spent a good few hours cleaning the car today, i also clay barred the paint work and polished it. I have never tried clay bar before but the result is the best it's ever came out as! After doing the both clay and polishing it feels like glass!

Here's some picture only taken them with my phone:
