Latly ive been thinking more and more about my nova.

Im very attached to it, even tho ive only owned it around a year, but ive lost the love for it and the temptation to sell it, break it or swap it for another nova or somthing is so tempting.

The nova needs some TLC, and i know i wont get the money i want for it in one piece, but breaking it wont get me much eather.

Its really getting me down atm, im bored when theres lack of work and want somthing different. So ive been looking at Mk1 Nova SR's.

Temped to just stick the nova on ebay for £800 Buy now and get it gone, buy a £500 SR ive seen and use the £300 to make somthing good of it.

But then again.. il prob change my mind again.

Go for it, sell it but don't break it. I personally would stick it on pistonheads, make sure you do the one where you pay (its £12 for 60 days I think). I did a free ad for the manta as its always shown as so few mantas that are ever for sale so you see the ad easily but there are a lot of novas.

Ebay can be good but people always try and get a half price car

Tsk, tsk  I'll wager I've driven my Volvo up and down much steeper hills in deeper ice & snow than you have your GTO :p:p:p I'm just hoping my dragon-in-law doesn't need collecting from Bavaria in January next time because it wasn't very nice :(

Although, to be fair, most people don't actually recognise my car as a Volvo unless they see the badge on the back :D

Defending the novas nunchuckhamster, I have to as love them :p Don't under estimate a gto ever :p:p:p:p

I have it on video with that volvo driver needing a push from james and a tow! LOL We had quite a speedy and exciting drive up the hill. ;)

Have you ever seen the Ditchling Beacon road, the killer hill on the London to Brighton cycle race.................... they close it apart from us nutcases.

Gto is absolutely amazing in the snow, 4wd fun. Most people do not have a clue what that car is like to drive, fast and bloody good fun. :eyes::eyes::eyes: I think a challenge is ahead in the winter  Though I won't be driving :not:as I will crap myself.

AW09 - If I was buying a nova I would want to know any advisory, any rust, photos underneath, chassis, sills, engine bay etc. For a new driver, push the insurance being good as well. Good luck with it all. :)

Insurance isnt good on my nova lol I can insure two tigras for the cost of insuring my nova lol

Engine changes really suck insurance wise.

And yer i plan to get as many as pics as possible, cam battery died earlier :(

Lol engines changes aren't bad once you've got a few years no claims behind you, and obviously once you hit 21 and then 25 it'll be even cheaper. I'm only paying £385 for my nova with everything declared! My first nova (1.0) at 18 with no experience was a grand!

OK forget the insurance then. Get the car into a nice uncluttered background as well. I've found that helps, like Stavros and the beach. A bit of imagination might set it aside.

I'm sure it will go, good luck!

I have to take ours around the corner, it is amazing what that can do to sell a car. Do you have any friends or family with posh drives, that always helps.

It does get easier insurance wise, so there are benefits to being older, I was wondering what they were?!

I have the same problem with my beetle mate. After owning it for this long and spending ridiculous amounts of money on it making it road legal etc (knowing full well I wont get the money back) im reluctant to sell it but I have lost all love for it and resent spending any more money on the thing!

Stick to unicycles - thats what i say!
