View Full Version : Dont you just love cars?!
Well i dont right this min lol
After trying to find out the fault with the tigra, the juddering and ecu light coming on i took it for a test drive after cleaning the plugs and checking over everything, 2miles from my house it cuts out... Great!
There i am, stuck at the side of the road on my own, with bugger all phone credit and a car that cant move lol
Luckly after playing around with some things and working out the car would idle fine i manged to get home.... doing 10mph most of the time and hitting a max speed of 30mph... Woop!
Think ive tracked down the cause to be a blocked fuel filter or a buggerd fuel pump.
Funnly enough im sure i never did more than 5miles in my nova without somthing breaking.
I love cars... I mean pushbikes.
Oh don't you just love it when that happens.
Glad someone else has that luck also. :p
lol I wish i didnt have this luck lol.
I need to fix it tomorrow too, Need to go to Diss in norfolk sunday.

You'll feel just at home around here, that's the kind of luck I have.
I bought Tasha an old '89 Nissan Sunny 1.4, seemed a bargain and a good buy, a week later and it's kangerooing and stalling and messing about. But the digital clock has started working
My Mondeo is still broken and just run out of MOT, injectors and a siezed caliper will be costly to fix.
And, the bain of my life, the GT-Four... I've fixed three water leaks now and every time I fix one it springs out of somewhere else! Now one of the core plugs is leaking.. :(
My luck just inproved lol.
Now as i said in other threads ive just done all the cambelt and head gasket (Oh and the 6 bent valves!), but it appears i hadnt done somthing as tight as i should have lol. One of the earths was lose. Causing all the problems!
And i know it feels macca, My nova is one big constant problem. Ive been there with the water leaks lol

Well it works sometimes, there's a loose connection somewhere and not just for the clock
You have a long way to go to catch up with my standards!!
Love the old cars, once you've sorted out the underlying problems that other owners have had they run well. Yes they break down but mostly easy and cheap fix! Talking of cheap, my brother has our 306 and has a bargain there, never let me down! :)

This Sunny is giving me underlying issues lol..
I think it needs new cap/rotor/plugs. Hoping the carb doesn't need anything doing to it as I'm an injection boy through and through! lol..
King lead for it at £2.50 keeps me happy though, that'd be £30 for a Toyota

I've been having the prelude acting likes its running on bog standard unleaded but its not, I am sure I've had some crap/contaminated petrol through but only used the same normal places. Hope it flushes through soon.............
