Some of you will know but we are closing the workshop down and moving out by 14th August and having to bring lots of stuff home. We are hoping to find somewhere else to have our own workshop and a bit of land and dare I say some livestock. :):)

As we find bits and bobs I will pop them up on the ads section. We will be doing some mobile work in the meantime. Looks like our house will now house, the spitfire, 2 mantas, gto, nissan exa and prelude and the 306 will be sold. The recovery truck we thought we'd have to sell but someone kindly has offered storage.

I just wanted to say thanks to those on this forum who've offered to help us out with storage as it means a lot to us. We should be ok, fingers crossed but we know where to come. Almost had to let another v8 engine go but we can keep it for future projects :eyes:

Looking forward to the future and having a workshop that is well maintained! :D

We've lullen them into a false sense of security..........3 cars will be out of site and two on the drive (no change there then). One out of the front........... still hopefully they won't have to put up with it too long......... finished 3 bedrooms, bathroom, landing and hallway.......... still more glossing of doors, one coat gloss is more like 4 coats! :)

We wanted to make sure that we don't give our landlord any opportunity to take the mickey. We saw what he did to the last person who rented that workshop! He changed the locks etc........we've worked hard tonight to make ready for the compressor and larger equipment and pretty much ready to move. We wanted an agreed/instructed day to hand over.

Getting there, tomorrow is D day and the hilux has a solution....... more later on I think. The 306 my brother is buying off me tomorrow and the gold manta should be going on Sunday.

I am in a little trouble as I have kept too many engines and parts .......the v8, honda prelude 2.2sir engine, lots of manta parts and engine and box........... oh dear :innocent: Still I hope the neighbours don't mind too much......

James is back up the workshop sorting the gto and hilux out with his mate. Still so much to get home. Roll on the weekend.

All getting there but tonight had a bit of fun and games, the snobs of the close don't seem to like the recovery truck, though its not staying here, got somewhere for it to go until we sell it. She's a little gem this one and its such as shame people are so up there own arses!

I can hear some of you laugh but seriously when they know its short term, probably a couple of days.......... well maybe we'll change our minds and leave it longer :not:

About five engines coming home to roost and a few manta parts and v8 engine to come home also.

If anyone is interested in a 2.0L manta gte engine (from our exclusive coupe) and 5 speed manual box let us know!

Fun and games tonight though, I hate the thought of those twats (I don't apologise for the words) who damage cars and steal and when the manta alarm went off after a bang it was straight to the window to see what was going on. The gto alarm went off also! The police had been driving about so assume someone was on the escape route. With a couple of neighbours out also I have to pity what may happen if anyone does get caught! Opposite had their van broken into and tools stolen last bank holiday and I am sure would like to kick some butt!

I don't care if I am female or not, I am not about to let anyone try and damage or steal my cars without a fight. I think that when we get that land I will be going to the rotti, gsd and dobi rescues and finding another addition to the family. Holly our old rotti was a star, the 2 huskies are good but not the same protection wise! I'd love to give a family home to another rotti or similar dog. Our old rotti was a brilliant guard dog and amazing family pet, and I have to add at this point very greatly missed after her unexpected death not long ago.

Rhodesian Ridgeback for a guard dog, trust me on this ;)

A good friend of mine up near Lincoln specialises in breaking Scooby's and the like. Has a farm in the middle of nowhere. So, he got himself Reggie the ridgeback. Local scroats showed up one night, 3 years ago. They left after about 5 mins, running as fast as they could and have never been back LOL

Its a shame that I have to think like that but Holly was great for scaring away people before. People don't mess with a rotti, they have the strongest bite of any animal. Pitbulls lock their jars but aren't as strong. Rotti's will defend their owners nicely.

AW09, not sure what they were trying to do but it sounds like something got knocked or banged around and the manta was climbed on we think. It certainly set both car alarms off. Around here people like to nick tools and there have been quite a few break ins. It's good that people keep an eye on each other.

I will try and get a photo of the engine, it came from my exclusive manta, 2.0 gte with 5 speed box and I gather it has had some work done on it by someone we know and trust. The manta is a 1987 exclusive coupe. We do have 2 rover v8 engines lying around as well :eyes: and may consider selling one on.
