Okay, well I thought I'd better post this up, just in case it is actually something..........

Note: Since I put this up on Lude Behaviour and Midlands Honda, aher person has been a victim.

This seems to be only Honda Prelude's that are being done.

Right, well I had my lovely Prelude keyed last week at night, and again the other day during broad daylight and I was pretty annoyed about it, but a lot of my friends, or friends of friends, who own Honda Preludes have had their car's vandalized within the last 10-12 weeks, and another one was put up on PUK earlier.

This has now raised the count to around 15 Preludes across the country that have been done in.

Each time, it just seems to be about the damage. Nothing is taken, but there is damage.

There was something a while back where people would be awarded "points" for doing damage to certain cars over a set period of time. More damage, or more daring, the more points you get.

I just did a quick search on Facebook and found various groups to do with damaging cars.

So just beware, this may all just be coincidence, but just in the off chance it is something, be careful.

It's those volvo owners ;););)

No seriously it's not nice and I can't stand people doing that to cars. If I found out who was doing that I know what I would like to do to them.

I would report those facebook groups via the link to do that.

I would also report the damage to the police and tell them about the site, they have a duty to investigate. Though they probably won't:no:

Someone else just had a couple of lads try to do his lude in, but he caught them in the act and gave them a good incentive to not damage his lude :p lol

Good on him. There are some seriously sad people out there doing stuff like this. It's not just preludes though, looking at it its a range of hondas.

I believe there is a law that states if someone vandalises your car you can beat them senseless with an array of heavy implements that can be found in most peoples homes and garages...

It isn't considered manslaughter as removing these fkrs from the gene pool is beneficial to the human race.

It is possible I may have made this up... when I rule the universe I shall implement this and issue all owners of 'decent' motors with a lightsabre for just such an occasion...

Well guess what guys? I've been done for a THIRD time now. Was done last night, they done the rear passenger side quarter (same side as before), bent my fuel filler cap from what looks like trying to pry it open, and they have scratched the hell out of one of my custom tail lights too.

Poor old Katt is sitting in a right sorry state at the moment, and I've decided I'm going to give her a rattle can respray at some point (may be in time for Rising Sun but who knows?)

Have you contacted the police, it may be that someone saw something near you as well? That is seriously out of order :( Is there any way to get her off the main road.

She's on the road, but it's not on a main road at all, she's on the road of a cul de sac off a road off a main road!

Police have said they're going to increase patrols on the area, but it's all useless though as I'm going to have to sell her soon :( *cries* Tried to give my mum a lift down the station earlier and I couldn't depress the clutch pedal, and leg has been getting worse n worse and finally got to this point today :(

So thinking about with the next one, maybe a bit of Mad Max style - heavy duty steel mesh on a matt black 4th gen lude, with various steel bars mounted onto the front bumper support bar that protrude through the bumper :D

God that's awful about both, can you not get an auto? Shocking still that they've left you to get that bad with your leg and not sorted it yet.

Well I'm going to have to get an auto, and will get an auto JDM BB4 chassis 4th gen and move all my suspension gear across and the interior across too, but I won't have enough money for that for about 3 or 4 months *sighs*

I can relate to this, The Supra has been scratched and chipped, plus had something poured down the rear quarter at some point which faded the paint. Also had a tyre slashed and egg thrown at the Mondeo, the egg has seriously damaged the paint.

They also stole the aerials from Natasha and her Mum's cars and wrote something on the bonnet of her GT4 scratching it.

She lives in a quiet close with usually not much trouble. I think saying that these attacks are targeted on Prelude's is a bit naive, you're just getting a cross-section from a small community. This kind of thing happens a lot to a lot of people's cars, all across the country. Sad times we live in when this is what people consider fun.

I was standing outside of Natasha's house the other day when a group of youths, about 12-14 years old I would imagine, walked past. The 'leader' was boasting about showing the rest of them a fence he had kicked in the night before and if they'd fixed it how he would do it again. Makes me very sad.

Out of interest, my Audi has a number of scratches on it - looks like the previous owner has tried to remove a number if bird shites with a wire brush!

I just took it to TPK in Margate and for £80 they reckon they can sort them, some kind of compound applied by a machine, might give it a go...

Just sounds like a machine polish or 'mopping'. Like t-cutting but with a much more abrasive compound used to polish it and a random orbital sander.

Have you tried a really hard session on the scratches with some t-cut, as you'd be suprised what it can get out?

Makes you wonder what it's like teaching 12-14 year olds ;) Try having 30+ in a room. Most can be pretty good, its a shame that they don't spend enough time in school to learn to be part of society.

T-cut sounds like a plan for the scratches, that ceramic hob cleaner is excellent. No don't laugh, it's none scratch and worked a treat in an "emergency" situation once. Not saying any more.

Many people are just plain envious of some cars so will be spiteful, very sad really.

I haven't tried Tcut, the scratches have damaged the laqued layer and all of those Tcut products say do not use if laqured layer is damaged.

Tcut bothers me, I had a red Civic Vti that had a couple of really faded areas, I'm sure that had been over Tcutted by a previous owner!

Well, Barry from this forum had a good go at the scratches on the Supra and they've all but gone, apart from a faint line on the paintwork. Really helped out.

He also had a go at the scrape on the back of Natasha's car where it was hit parked outside my house (whoever did it drove straight off). That was quite damaged, and has brought it out very well.

Edited to say: I think when they say damage of the lacquer layer it means if it's peeling or lifted. If it's a scratch in the layer then it seems to work very well.

I might give it a go in an inconspicuous place first!
