Hi Guys,

The driver's seat in my A4 has electronic lumber support, only some fat lump has busted it!

There's a metal rod about 4mm diameter that has sheared in two places and needs to be fixed.

The rod takes up the stress of the lumber support pressing against your back when sitting in it, so the fix needs to be pretty strong.

I've seen a few chemical metal compounds but have never used one before, can anyone recommend a good one, preferably that setts fast!

Either that or I need a pair of couplers of some description...

Paul.

James suggests if you can't replace it then you could try Q bond, sets really fast and hard.

You could put another metal sleeve over it. It has really good write ups and spreads any impact from what I've read. James says it sets instantly, his mate used it on a bumper, when someone crashed into again  the only area that was undamaged was the area that the q bond had been used.
