right ..ive dug out the cams and the needed a bit of a clean lol
so they are soaking :)
next week me and my cash are off to cranleigh with the silver lude for a cambelt change new water pump and tens ..a lsd oil change ..platinum plugs .. new leads arm, cap, oilchange and mot :)
im pritty sure the car is up to spec haveing driven lots of lude v-tecs
so 193bhp is there ..near enough (not 150) :d
cams ,pphead, tbs sports cat , 2.5ins powerflow , and remap should give me 270 + bhp .. going by my last tuned lude .. also considering forged pistons but i gotta watch the cash :(..
gonna strip most of the unwanted sh*t out also ..with half rollcage front strutbrace and coilovers ... good set of tyers and jobs done ...
being a lightweight lude to start with its gonna be good

hope to have it all done by sept ...hope :not:

Ooooooh, that's gonna be one helluva sweet project dude :D Can't wait to see it running and see how it goes :D

Do you do stuff like install the cams yourself then dude?

And what you gonna do with the remap? Just get the stock ecu remapped, or get a chip burnt or a piggyback system like Hondata or E-manage??

I reckon the 2 smaller bottles idea will last about a week after fitting :D Bloody stuff is addictive once it's in the car! I ended up renting a cylinder to keep in my garage as it worked out so much cheaper in the long run.

I think you're right, I probably will be able to see you holding your fingers up. Good job I installed that super magnifying rear view mirror in the Supra eh ;)

Take off your VTEC and what have you got? A car slower than a washing machine :D :tounge:

hmmmmm 140 mph and not even trying, way more to go. Honda engines can handle it unlike some cars...................

On the track, a turbo would be the ultimate choice - so much so that it has been banned from F1, world touring cars (petrol engine cars) etc because the advantage from a turbo is so huge. Every form of motorsport that allows a turbo takes up the offer e.g WRC with the only exception of the 6R4 Metro (which wasn't competitive any way). Without a turbo on my car there would be no way I could get the speedo off the end of the 155 mph dial (on an auto bahn) - at the moment it does it with ease and the only performance mods I have are an air filter, cat back exhaust and a re-map (155mph electronic speed limiter removed also). It is so much easier to tune a turbo charged car as you can get 40 - 60 bhp just from a remap. The honda vtec lumps are great but if you are thinking of forging the internals anyway a turbo vtec would be the way to go for you surely? Just an idea.. I have seen a couple of rapid honda turbo's recently.

Ang
04-25-2009, 10:04 AM
Some say that the non vtec honda 2.2 engines are the best ones to turbo, anyone got any idea? If I keep my prelude we would be doing the vtec sir engine that I have but curious on this one.

macca

Ang, it's possible that they have a slightly lower compression ratio which would make them more responsive to turbo charging?

The clusters really suit the car dude. Never seen black altezzas on a silver lude before, but they really do look good :) And loving the evo spoiler too :) Looks really funky on there :D

Really love the black rocker cover too, and plug cover to match the Oldgit sticker :) Very cool!!

And mmmmm, fun of installing bucket seats :D hahaa Will come n give you a hand if ya want :)
