Looking through the Lyddenhill diary I checked out the BHP show on the bank holiday monday at the start of May. Looks like it could be a good show.:)

We could do this show and get a club stand (I am sure we could pull one off :innocent:). Minimum would be 10 cars (£6 per car in advance). Only big problem is the form would need to be submitted by 1st April.
What are your thoughts?

It's 4th May, looks like if club stand would be an early start. Be good if you can help sort things out/point us in the right direction as new to this lark;)
Time is VERY short so would need to sort this out asap, that is if people want to, anything is possible if people want to do it.
Thanks to Lambo Lude for his experience on the show front :)
BHP Performance Show
4th May, Lydden Park, near Dover.

I've not been to this show but could be a good alternative. It's aimed at a family day out with the following listed
With 4 hours of live ‘on track’ action demos and 5 hours of public track time the event is full with non-stop track action that keeps everyone's eyes glued to the circuit. A variety of motorsport and Performance cars perform demonstrations of Drifting, Time Attack, Rallycross, Group B & Group A Rallycars, Circuit Racing, Oval Racing and High Powered sprint cars making it a fun day for all the family
When you need a break from the adrenalin filled demonstrations you can take a walk around the paddock and view the fantastic display of enthusiasts cars who come from all corners of the country some individually, but many from some of the longest standing and highest repected car clubs around.
Track time can be booked. £15 for 15 minutes in advance (£20 on the day). Helmets can be hired £10 per day. £6 per car on the stand and £12 per additional passenger. Under 12s free. Gates open at 9am so I should think on a club stand we would need to get there about an hour before.
Another thread will be made available to list down your interest :D

I have seen this about with another club and it looks really great n everything but I will probably be in Sheffield by this point so won't be up for going unfortunately :(
Be sure to say hi to the guys at Cruise Control UK though from the Crazy man if you go :D Doubt you'll be able to miss their stand!! :P will be massive!!!

Sounds like a good one. If people are interested and quickly then a club stand could be good.
Need to see if there's a noise limit on the track time :innocent: Bet there is :(

Read through all the forms and I can only think about contacting them to ask about noise limits. I should think James and I will definitly go even if we don't make the 10 (I know its short notice but it does look good :p).
Due to being short notice ie it would be impossible to have final numbers before the 1st April and money in for a club stand I think we'll keep this event open for anyone who would like to join us for a mini meet at the show.
No-one's fault as it is mission impossible. No-one can afford to mess work around at the moment I am sure.
Feel free to add your name to the name list for bhp if you would like to attend as, and when, you know. Last minute is fine. Tickets can be purchased on the day or in advance. I am sure we can sort out some sort of meeting points and convoy.
I'm going to phone up next week to find out more information, anything anyone want to know then please post up here and will find out. :D
4th May.
Tickets are £12 on the gate and under 12s free (as below). Waiting on a call back to try and get a discount for a small group of us. Max noise levels for cars on track time (£15 in advance or £20 on the day) is 105 db and arms and legs must be covered, oh and a full uk driving licence.
Will sort out a route/meeting points at the first meet and then put them up here. Just add your name to the other list so I can get baragaining on a group discount. ;) Worse case scenario just let me know the day before and pay on the gate.

If anyone is coming down the A2 southbound, we can meet you. Suggest the Texaco service station, a couple of miles from M2/A2 junction :)
I will have a look, that sounds good, what sort of time are you thinking? We are definitly going with a couple of people.
Anyone else coming along? We will arrange a meet in June for SPH but this looks a good day for a mini meet ;)

It looks like we are going to leave at 8am, take a relaxed drive down and aim to get your end for 10ish. Can you send a pm with your mobile and one of us will ring you when we are closer please? I think we'll be going up the A23, M23, M25 so if anyone wants to meet us on the way then let us know where and a time, phone number and we'll sort it out.
PM for a phone number please and will pass it on.

I'm not going, but some of my partners in crime from T5D5 are, including at least 3 seriously quick and modified T5's. If you see Marky's orange C70 (it's the one with Aston Martin brakes on the front!) just call it "gay gold" and tell him Hammy says hi :)
Worst queue ever to get in so took a break from the queue and came back to a quick entrance. So many lovely cars to see on the way in and around the track. Enjoyed the day and that drive back with the mini road block to wind that bumper sitting idiot woman up ;) Saw some great views of Dover as a bonus.
