Hello all - popping in to introduce myself, I'm sure it's only polite.

Came to you via an ebay advert from someone called 'angdown' - I assume they're a member of this site, but not registered under that name so I couldn't show them as a referrer I'm afraid.

I live in Dartford on the borders of London and Kent, and drive a collection of cars, although my 1986 Camaro is my baby, and also the biggest drain on my fuel bill! Hoping one day to get a late seventies Camaro and so continue in my quest to pay for my local petrol station manager to go on a trip to the bahamas with the money I've paid them.

Cheers,

Jimbo

PS - The character recognition thing on registering is possibly one of the hardest I've ever done. After twelve attempts or so I finally got help, else I wouldn't have managed it!

Welcome, I am ang (angdown) from ebay. Had to pop a little ad for this site as I am very, very keen to get some more American beasts out and about. :salute::inlove:

My partner is hoping that the camaro doesn't sell. If it does I can see another resotration camaro on the books.

Please do have a look around. The club is new and aimed to have a good mixture of cars. If you are free for our first meet do come along and bring a friend or two if you like ;)

Ah ha - so it's your fault I'm here!

Yup, I've looked at the meet dates and will be there, might even drag another petrolhead with me for backup.

I can understand why he'd want to keep it, I'm a complete sucker for that model Camaro and WILL finally get myself one. ;-)
Lets hope if it doesn't sell I can see it at the meet.

Hi Jimbo and welcome to the forum.

My sincere apologies for the character recognition thing. I know it is a pain and I have trouble with them too at points, but without it we get lots of spam users filling up the forum with rubbish. :( Usually if you refresh a few times you get one that's coherent!

Be great to see you at a meet, I'm knew to all the American muscle thing, but liking what I see! :)

Yes the more the merrier. Have you seen the other 1978 camaro shell and parts? Has a 7 litre engine. ;) Well Sunday will see if we have the camaro or not. I have a feeling it will sell though.

Reckon you might be right Ang, I'm hoping that I win the pools soon so I don't have to get rid of my 86 model before buying the earlier one!

Macca, understand completely. Probably just my stupidity, I don't usually struggle with them but this one just threw me completely.

Not just you Jimbo, I struggled when I was setting up and testing it, so don't worry!!
